Schilke Heavy Design trumpets are based off the S Series models, for the symphonic or orchestral musician. Built to order, the HD models use a heavier receiver and mouthpipe, thicker tubing and a heavy gauge, one piece “seamed” yellow brass bell. The additional mass offers a very thick, powerful sound that is focused with wonderful projection.
The S22-HD Bb features a large .463” bore with a heavy gauge #2 medium large taper yellow brass bell. It has a heavy mouthpipe and receiver. This trumpet is available in the highest quality silver or gold plated finish.
