String instruments are the heart of each orchestra; they reflect the soul of the musicians that play them. Gill combines these valuable traditions with contemporary productions methods. Each single instrument is made to support the intellectual task and individual requirements of the professional as well as the ambitioned amateur and the talented student. They expect a well balanced instrument, affordable, most valuable - a beautiful instrument of high quality. Gill is working hard to create new stylistic ideas and technical solutions, develop new production methods and constantly improve the quality of their instruments. Every instrument is checked several times to guarantee best quality before it leaves their workshop.

This series of handmade violins are very closely related to the patterns of the old masters. Each instrument is created by one maker, from start to finish. The finest woods are used. Fittings and finish are chosen to match the instrument’s characteristics. Four patterns are available: Guarneri del Gesu “ex Carrodus”, Antonio Stradivari “Betts”, Guarneri del Gesu “Plowden”, and Matteo Gofriller 1710.

This series of handmade violins are very closely related to the patterns of the old masters. Each instrument is created by one maker, from start to finish. The finest woods are used. Fittings and finish are chosen to match the instrument’s characteristics. Four patterns are available: Antonio Stradivari “Betts”, Guarneri del Gesu “Plowden”, Matteo Gofriller 1710, and Guarneri del Gesu “Kreisler”.

This series of handmade violins are very closely related to the patterns of the old masters. Each instrument is created by one maker, from start to finish. The finest woods are used. Fittings and finish are chosen to match the instrument’s characteristics. Three patterns are available: Guarneri del Gesu “Kreisler”, Guarneri del Gesu “Joachim”, and a Stradivari model.

Gill Model 68:

This excellent violin is made of very nicely flamed solid maple and a high quality solid spruce top, in a model closely related to the Stradivarius patterns. A one-piece back is available upon request. Each instrument is graduated and finished by hand to reach the best tonal results and craftsmans’ standards. They only use spirit varnish to give their instruments the well known and highly appreciated beautiful appearance. These fine violins are varnished by hand, individually "antiqued" and set up with the finest fittings. This instrument is available in full size.

Gill Model 66:

This violin is made of aged and selected solid spruce for the top and flamed solid maple for the back and sides. The model is closely related to the Stradivarius patterns. Every single piece is handcrafted at a very high level, graduated and tuned to perfection. The beautiful appearance results from the hand painted spirit varnish, which is usually antiqued. The set up is carefully made with fine quality fittings, always matching the individual character of the instrument. This instrument is available in full size.

Gill Model 64:

This model is a beautifully handmade violin of an excellent two-piece flamed solid maple back and sides and a select solid spruce top. The highly skilled craftsmanship and surface finish allows this instrument an outstanding performance. The model is closely related to the Stradivarius patterns. Each instrument is individually varnished and shaded, sometimes antiqued if requested. The set up is perfectly made in our workshop with fine boxwood, rosewood or ebony fittings. Gill Model 62:

This violin is handmade of nicely flamed solid maple and aged solid mountain spruce. Good craftsmanship and accurate graduation guarantees well balanced tonal results. The model is closely related to the Stradivarius patterns. Each violin has a slightly shaded spirit varnish. Upon request they offer antiqued versions in any range of the scale. They only use high quality fittings for the set up which is perfectly made by their violin makers. This instrument is available in full size.

Gill Model 58:

This violin is made of slightly flamed solid maple and aged solid spruce top. They graduate and finish it by hand to reach the best results in tone and appearance. Each individual instrument is very precisely and carefully made. The varnish is spirit based and slightly shaded. For the set up they use fine ebony fittings. Smaller sizes are available.

Gill Model 54:

This violin is made of a slightly flamed solid maple back and sides and a solid mountain spruce top. Good craftsmanship combined with an excellent spirit varnish give this violin its good reputation among the huge field of competitors. It is available in all sizes.
