Early prototypes of the CodaBow were born in the attic laboratory of a dormant liniment factory in Winona, Minnesota. Among the hand blown glass flasks and graduated cylinders, they began gathering the ingredients. Some of the ingredients- graphite fiber technology- were new to bowmaking. All the rest were ingredients as old as bowmaking itself: a passion for the art; a dedication to the science; and an uncompromising commitment to performance. Communities of devoted players, professional teachers, master bowmakers and leading scientists also shared their dream and contributed their collective experience.

Diamond GX:

Designed for professionals, the GX offers performance once reserved for only the finest pernambuco bows. This bow features a pernambuco diamond weave from button to tip, and a Kevlar acoustic core. It has a European made ebony frog with sterling silver fittings, a gold “Coda” inlay, and a select goldfish slide. The grip is sterling silver wire and Moroccan goatskin. These bows are individually numbered and have a lifetime warranty. This model is available for violin, viola and cello in full size only.

Diamond SX:

Sophisticated and reliable, the SX is the ideal “touring” bow for every professional artist and teacher. This bow features a natural graphite diamond weave from button to tip, and a Kevlar acoustic core. It has a European Xebony™ engineered ebony frog with nickel silver fittings, a sterling silver “Coda” inlay, and a diamond weave slide. The grip is sterling silver wire and Moroccan goatskin. These bows are individually numbered and have a 10 year warranty. This model is available for violin, viola and cello in full size only.

Diamond NX:

The Diamond NX offers advanced performance for serious players. Agile and accommodating, the NX elevates advancing players to new levels. This bow features a brown graphite diamond weave with a blended Kevlar acoustic core. It has a European Xebony™ engineered ebony frog with nickel silver fittings, a nickel silver “Coda” inlay, and a white mother-of-pearl slide. The grip is sterling silver wire and Moroccan goatskin. Joule:

The most innovative of all the CodaBows, the Joule evokes a performance unattainable with traditional materials. Originally developed exclusively for extended range and electric instruments, this breakthrough design is capable of commanding power from the lower range while still finessing color and nuance from the upper range.
