Since 1887, when it began producing reed organs, the Yamaha Corporation in Japan (then Nippon Gakki Co., Ltd.) has grown to become the world's largest manufacturer of a full line of musical instruments, including those at the professional level. Also, Yamaha provides a place for studying music, sets opportunities for presenting one's own compositions, and creates an environment for the enjoyment of a variety of musical endeavors. Since Yamaha Music Foundation was established in 1966, it has generated a wide range of music activities throughout global society, including Yamaha music schools, and the Junior Original Concert. Strong commitment to promote and support music education and popularization is one of the most significant elements to distinguish Yamaha from its competitors.

Professional 62 Series:

Yamaha Professional saxophones feature gold epoxy lacquer finish on the body and keys and an engraved bell. The bell, bow and body provide better response and tone color through the annealing process. A front F key, high F# key, and custom-style Bb spatula facilitate technique and alternate fingerings. Superior intonation is provided by refined tonehole dimensions and placement. The ribbed and flanged post mounting improves response while providing a more resonant sound and better post stability.

Custom EX:

Custom EX saxophones feature gold lacquer finish on the body and keys, an engraved bell and mother of pearl key buttons. The new brass alloy coupled with an advanced neck and bore design provide superior response, intonation and projection. The one-piece rib construction and improved key levers produce quick, responsive key movements. All Custom EX saxophones feature a high F# key and an adjustable front F key.

Custom Z:

Based on the scale of the classic '62' models, the Custom Z saxes have bodies that are made of a special brass alloy for lighter weight, a great playing feel, and the kind of tonal flexibility players have always wanted. The Z plays evenly in all ranges, and gives the player a huge dynamic range for as much or as little sound as you need. The advanced neck design helps produce a quick and agile response while key action and placement feel just right.
