The H175 is a double french horn in the Merker line impeccably crafted to offer the ultimate in craftsmanship and tonal splendor. Design features such as its newly designed 4th branch, dual bore, and mouthpipe tapers lead professionals to claim an ease of blowing in all registers as well as an exceptionally quick response and a smooth, precise legato. The mouth pipe has a .306" Venturi for a more centered feel and focus. It has a .468”/.460” dual bore, a 12” large throat hand hammered bell, solid nickel silver construction, fully adjustable finger hook, independent F/Bb tuning , tapered rotors and bearing, a reversible fourth rotor from F/Bb to Bb/F, a water key on the mouthpipe and third slide, and solid nickel silver inner and outer slides. The model H275 has all the above features plus a detachable screw bell.
