Holton H105 French Horn

by Holton

Starting at

$6,699

The world's finest French horn just got better; the new H105 replaces Holton's previous H104 flagship model. The pursuit of perfection has created a new-generation French horn known for its performance and superb intonation. The H105's technological and acoustical flexibility enables the artist to perform accurately in a wide range of performance situations. It features a Kruspe wrap. Its two interchangeable mouth pipes with newly developed tapers make it easy to switch between work in small chamber ensembles and large symphony orchestras. The small Venturi mouthpipe is more focused for chamber orchestra and high-register work. The large Venturi mouthpipe is more free blowing, creating an excellent orchestral horn. The specially tempered red brass bell produces a rich, dark sound capable of great volume without getting brassy. It has a .468” bore, a 12” large throat hand hammered bronze detachable bell, nickel silver body, two leadpipes, tapered rotors and bearing, a reversible fourth rotor from F/Bb to Bb/F, a water key on the mouthpipe, and solid nickel silver inner and outer slides.
