The design of the 9D is similar to the 8D but with a medium throat bell, giving the horn more control and resistance comparatively. It has a .468” bore, all nickel silver construction, a large throat 12 1/4” hand hammered bell, adjustable finger levers, tapered rotors and bearings, semi-mechanical main valves, fully mechanical change valve, two tuning slide system, and clear lacquer finish. Options include a detachable screw bell, a rose or yellow brass bell, full mechanical linkage, silver plated finish, adjustable fingerhook, and a push button water key on the first branch.
